Piper Cheyenne Pilots (NV/CA) 10/11
American Medflight, Inc., is an employee owned, fixed-wing air ambulance company with bases in Reno, Ely and Elko, Nevada, as well as, Susanville, California. Our organization is currently recruiting 6 pilots to fly the Piper Cheyenne (PA31T).
Our flights take place 24 hours per day, and while we typically enjoy nearly 200 clear weather flying days every year we also operate in mountainous terrain, strong crosswinds, turbulence, and sometimes low IMC conditions. Our operation brings outstanding medical crews to rural communities, and transports those in need to major medical centers.
We offer a competitive wage, availability to work a two-week rotation, medical, dental, 401K, and an Employee Stock Ownership Program. Our employees also enjoy the diverse recreational beauty offered by the mountain-west, and plenty of time off to enjoy their surroundings. Popular activities include world-class skiing & snow boarding, mountain biking, camping, fishing and hunting. In addition, overnights are rare, as the typical mission rarely takes us no more than 300 miles from home. Pilots must live within 10 minutes of one of our unique base locations, as response times for medical purposes are critical. Relocation allowances will be provided.
In order to qualify for this position, we require an ATP certificate, 4000 hours of PIC, significant ME turbo-prop experience, and strong single-pilot IFR skills. Successful candidates will have the ability to fly non-radar, pilot-nav approaches to small airports and need to be highly proficient, team-players adept to working in a fast-paced environment. Part 135 and air-ambulance experience is highly desirable.
American Medflight is an EOE.
Please do not apply unless you have thoroughly reviewed the above qualifications and are willing to move to an assigned location.
The next General Indoc course will commence in early November.
When applying, please send a cover letter and resume explaining how your skill-set would be a good fit for the AMF Team. Email resume and cover letter to . Tell them you saw the ad on AvCrew.com.
